Job Description:
Garden Center Annuals Manager The Annuals Manager oversees spring and summer annuals, herbs and veggies, and fall mums, in addition to ordering, receiving, and selling finished plants.
The candidate will have oversight of growing and merchandising of annuals and assist in ordering.
The Annuals Manager mangages a staff of seasonal assistants.
All Churchill's managers must be willing to assist other departments during busy periods, as we have a collaborative, team-oriented structure and given the seasonality of the industry.

The candidate must possess excellent leadership and management skills, including managing the schedules and supervising the work of associates in their department.

Must also display expertise in selection and purchasing of nursery stock and plant material.

Receive shipments, scan and add items to inventory (as needed), and merchandise displays Water and fertilize plants and manage growing conditions to prevent disease and insects Maintain a positive attitude and offer excellent customer service Schedule and supervise staff in watering, plant care, deliveries, and restocking plants Clean, organize, and monitor the annuals yard and greenhouses (1600 s.
f.
) on a daily basis Assist with holiday production of greens, wreaths, containers, etc.

in Horticulture, Floriculture, Biology, or related field or 5
years of growing experience 3-5 years of managerial experience in a garden center or nursery 2-3 years of sales experience in a garden center or nursery Current Pesticide Applicator's License or willingness to obtain after hire Knowledge of annuals selection, watering, disease prevention, and growing conditions Excellent customer service attitude and constant willingness to communicate with customers and coworkers Eagerness to stay up to date on trends and products in garden center or nursery industry Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and move products throughout the entire work shift Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Willingness to work in all weather conditions Comfort working with a computer, point-of-sale system, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and overtime, as necessary Reports to:
Operations Manager Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
Wages paid weekly.
