Job Description:
Hay Creek Hotels is actively searching for a motivated, engaging, and passionate Corporate Human Resource Manager to join our diverse team of hospitality professionals.
This role will work directly with the Corporate VPHR to assist and oversee various HR functions within the growing Hay Creek Hotels national portfolio, focusing primarily on proactive recruitment, onboarding and training, pre-opening HR duties for new hotels, and HR cultural initiatives.

Summary:
Responsible for the posting of all company-wide managerial advertisements.
Use of digital Applicant Tracking System, as well as direct advertisements on alternative recruitment websites such as Handshake, Craigslist, HCareers, Social Media outlets, and other applicable job boards.
Additionally, responsible for all job postings for new builds/acquisitions prior to local HR Manager onboarding Manage HCH Corporate recruitment pages/accounts such as LinkedIn Company page and Indeed Company Page.
Owner of all local Indeed Company pages.
Ensures information is accurate, pages are attractive, and provide thoughtful engaging content for pages and postings.
Work closely with HCH Director of Digital and Brand Marketing to update Careers Page on HCH website.
Develop/Implement HCH recruitment program within hospitality colleges/universities to include; career Fairs, on campus interviews, college internships, speaking engagements, etc.
Independently manage LinkedIn Recruiter account to include; sponsored advertisements, proactive candidate searches, and potential candidate outreach.
Responsible for the pre-screening/initial interviewing of all managerial candidates within company.
Makes recommendations to local GM and department managers regarding suggested candidates and requests next steps of action.
Follows up to ensure candidate progression.
Ensure property level advertisements follow HCH guidelines, are informative and attractive to potential candidates.
Assist local HRMs with creative recruitment efforts, flyers, social media postings, incentives, etc.
Administer offer letters for signature to all company-wide managerial candidates as provided by VPHR.
Monitor local property New Hire packets.
Ensure all forms are updated and included.
Issues new hire documentation to new local EC team members or HCH Corporate team members as needed.
Coordinates and leads all onboarding of management level new hires.
Works closely with local GM and HR Manager to issue onboarding schedule and training plan.
Hosts HCH New Manager Orientation/Training (4 hrs) for all new managerial hires.
Leads HCH Professional Development Program (manager in training).
Collegiate recruiter for graduating seniors and undergrads interested in career development programs within HCH.
Uncovers internal talent for consideration.
Acts as liaison throughout 6 month
program, ensures training progress, provides mentorship, and conducts re-occurring training sessions on professional development and HR policy training.
Updates training program as needed.
Educates local GMs and HRMs on program guidelines and responsibilities.
Create and implement new training initiatives such as the HCH Learning Series and HR How-to Library to encourage ongoing manager development and education.
Ensure local HR Managers are compliant with hourly associate onboarding.
Responsible for updating hourly new hire orientation presentations and orientation/onboarding checklists.
Core trainer for all new local HR/Accounting Managers.
Act as culture champion for all of HCH.
Promote a Hay Creek culture campaign; HCH Belief posters, Delight & Surprise collateral, Branded swag, etc.
Assist VPHR in all HR objectives including implementation of culture philosophy within local properties, strategic planning in recruitment and ongoing employee relations initiatives.
Create and distribute monthly notices to local GMs and HR promoting bulletin board suggestions, department meeting in pre-meal prompts, and creative suggestions on Delight & Surprise opportunities for internal staff.
Write and distribute monthly Hay Creek Herald newsletter.
Promote all HCH Beliefs through hotel programs, community outreach, and employee engagement.
Provide daily support to local managers including guidance on employee relations, retention of current employees, creative suggestions in labor cost savings, alternative recruitment efforts, and general guidance on HR policy and procedures.
Acts as HR Manager for Corporate staff (see Hotel HR Manager job description).
For HCH Corporate office as well as any assigned pre-opening locations; administers weekly payroll processing, track and process paid time off, appropriate digital filing employee files, medical records, I-9s, benefits, workers comp, and pre-employment records, administer employee benefit administration to include enrollments, changes, terms, deduction management, cobra administration, and invoice processing, and manage ACA Compliance to ensure accurate 1095 year end reporting.
Works closely with Corporate Controller and Assistant Corporate Controller on Time Clock and Payroll implementation.
Work closely with HCH VPHR to develop HR SOPs and training manuals, as needed, for various HR related topics and payroll systems.
Assist with Human Resource Pre-Opening tasks as assigned.
Conduct HR Assessments at different HCH locations as assigned.
In the absence of the Corporate HR Director assist in all HR related matters throughout the company as needed.
Act as temporary local HR manager during transitions, gaps in local HR, and pre-opening locations as assigned by VPHR Coordinates management development and associate training.
Recommends new programs based on need.
Manages the HR Function during a transition and/or takeover of new hotels.
Regular travel to HCH portfolio locations to support HRMs and Operational managers with respect to Employee Relations, Compliance auditing, Cultural development, and overall HR support.
