Cobham is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team in Exeter, NH to develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.

Cobham Antenna Systems , Exeter Facility is part of the Cobham family of companies and joins over 10,000 employees on five continents, with customers and partners in more than 100 countries and annual revenues in excess of $3B. Microwave Components, Exeter manufactures custom microwave components, integrated high performance assemblies and antennas for radar, electronic warfare and communications systems supporting the Aerospace and Defense Industries.

Responsibilities:
Daily focus and strong initiative to improve current state of Operations through improvements in producibility, material flow, design, tooling and capital equipment implementation
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Sales and Program Office to improve overall business performance
Develops and reports resolution plans and schedules to senior management
Collaborates with Design Engineering on concurrent engineering and new product introduction to manufacturing
Continuously improves process documentation and work instructions to ensure flawless manufacturing operations
Works on unusually complex, sensitive and unique problems and provides state-of-the-art solutions that are highly creative
Acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of manufacturing processes and program plans
Performs Root Cause & Corrective Action analysis
Estimates manufacturing costs determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process improvements for new or existing product lines
Understands application of workmanship and quality standards
Works on problems of moderate scope and complexity, where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Traveling to suppliers as necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience and 15 years of related experience
Strong Lean Manufacturing experience
AS9100 experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven analytical skills
Ability to lead multi-functional teams in problem solving
Able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
US Citizen
Preferred
Qualifications:
Familiar with dip brazing, plating techniques, machining and microwave assembly
Strong interpersonal skills
Black belt training
Strong leadership abilities
Possess and apply knowledge of state of the art manufacturing equipment and processes
Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite
CAD drawing capability
Advanced problem solving ability
ERP and inventory management understanding
Active Secret Clearance
