Cobham is seeking a Supply Chain Director to join the team inExeter, NH reporting to the General Manager of the facility. This position will direct the process which includes the Master scheduling and planning of manufacturing and procurement, inventory planning management and control, logistics and distribution. This role inspires a team of supply chain professionals to develop and optimize processes to ensure that every step of the supply chain process is functioning effectively, providing material on time and cost effectively, and enabling operational excellence and growth.

Supply Chain Director Key
Responsibilities:
Assume ownership and accountability of developing and leading a supply chain team, processes and performance. This includes both strategic supply chain planning and tactical operations support for manufacturing. There are three sub-teams that report into this role; Production Planning and Inventory Control, Procurement, and Logistics.
Provide Functional leadership and direction for following processes; SIOP, master scheduling, capacity planning and optimization, finite scheduling, make and buy planning, procurement, receiving, shipping, warehouse management, inventory control, distribution and logistics
Provide leadership, development opportunities, and managerial oversight to the Supply Chain team
Provide role modeling to organization in line with Cobham core values and behaviors
Deploy revised planning and scheduling process to improve OTD to 95% to include; Master scheduling process, Make planning process, Procurement planning and order alignment process, Dispatching process.
Refine and lead revised SIOP process to improve strategic planning of inventory, utilization of factory resources, and drive integrated executive alignment to improve customer satisfaction, market share, and profit.
Strategic supply chain design (Operating System, Organizational Design, Management Infrastructure): Oversee the deployment of an integrated supply chain organization model, roles, processes, and KPI's
Improve financial performance by reducing inventory to meet plan and develop an understanding of the drivers of material cost as a percentage of revenue with an associated reduction plan. Develop new means to reduce costs while maintaining business objectives.
Oversee the development of a strategic sourcing capability
Utilize analytic methods to analyze performance issues to identify causal relationship underlying supply chain performance and provide actionable insight
Build and maintain good relationships with value stream and shared service managers, line leaders and staff
Travel to key suppliers as necessary
Minimum Requirements:
15 years
experience in leading supply chain organizations or equivalent.
Experience developing & leading a supply chain organization, processes, and improving KPI performance in a low volume, high mix, multiple product line, make to order environment.
Possess expertise in master scheduling, make and buy planning and scheduling, production control, logistics, warehouse management, inventory control, strategic sourcing and procurement processes
Driving change through large, complex supply chain organizations and transformations
Cross functional experience in operations, engineering, or business development.
Experience strategically planning and optimizing an aftermarket spares, repair and overhaul operation.
Provide leadership for critical Supplier relationship management challenges, and customer supply chain related matters.
Must be able to identify and deliver on high value sourcing opportunities, appreciate complexity of change and be able to align closely with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance to deliver robust sourcing solutions
Well-developed organizational and inter-personal skills. A self-starting and self-motivating individual with a positive attitude and influence on the organization.
Bachelor's Degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
Proficient with MS Office suite of products
Experience with use of ERP/MRP systems
US Citizenship
Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Requirements:
15 years
experience in leading supply chain organizations in the aircraft, defense, or other highly regulated industries.
BS Operations and Supply Chain Management, BSIE, BS Manufacturing Engineering, MS Degree or MBA, APICS CPIM certification, Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (APP) Certification.
