EH - Patient Service Rep - PSR 2

Obtains and documents accurate information to complete the scheduling/pre-registration/registration/pre-certification process.
The schedule is (36) hours per week with every other Monday off. The shift schedules will vary 7:30am - 4:00 pm, 8:30am - 5:00pm & 10:00am-6:00pm.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent;
Must be able to type 35 wpm
Major Responsibilities
1. Accurately collect demographic and financial data; and define and educate patients on financial responsibilities.
2. Complete pre-registration/registration within established error thresholds.
3. Provide pre-procedure instructions to patients where indicated.
4. Complete insurance verification on designated patients.
5. Assist with daily quality control.
6. Staff in central scheduling will schedule procedures; obtain prior authorization and ICD code data; process orders/requisitions following established guidelines.
7. Pre-certification staff will accurately complete all pre-certification/prior authorization for all insurances and all patient types within established timeframes. Schedule Endoscopy patient appointments following established guidelines.
8. Pre-registration staff will also process returned mail following established guidelinesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
